We are pleased to announce the grand opening of YORUYA on November 14 in the Kurashiki Bikan Historical Quarter . The building, originally constructed over 110 years ago as a separate residence for a kimono merchant, has undergone numerous transformations over the years, and now embarks on a new chapter under the name YORUYA.

The building has been reborn as a boutique hotel with 13 rooms, where traditional features of the existing building were preserved wherever possible, while also incorporating new structures. Striking a harmonious balance between the old and new, as well as across different materials, was essential—a philosophy we believe reflects not only the unique character of Kurashiki, but also the spirit we hope to embody at YORUYA as we begin our journey in this historic district.

YORUYA will offer a culinary experience that immerses guests in the local culture and natural bounty of this region. Kurashiki, historically a vital hub for trade, remains in close proximity to the rich flavors of the sea, mountains, and land. Through the techniques of traditional Japanese cuisine, our culinary offerings will express the very essence of this land.

As we move forward, our hope is for YORUYA to become a gateway for many to discover the unique charms of Kurashiki and Okayama. We would greatly appreciate your kind support as we embark on this exciting new chapter.
